Stretching yourself

Growth and improvement come from attempting to do what you previously could not do. Real, valuable learning comes from working to understand and to master what you previously have not known.

Achievement is a process of continually stretching yourself beyond prior limitations. Persist in stepping outside your boundaries, and you greatly expand those boundaries.

What was once impossible for you can become commonplace. What has so far held you back can become the basis for your success.

Sticking with only what you know keeps you stuck where you are. When you refuse to leave your comfort zone it will quickly become your prison.

Every bit of progress you've ever made has been the result of shaking off your inhibitions. You've done it many times before and you can do it many more times again.

So go ahead and get out beyond the comfortable trap of all you're used to and all you're sure of. Challenge yourself, stretch yourself, and reach beyond yourself all the way to the fulfillment of your most outstanding dreams.

Be great

Whatever you choose to do today, be great at it. Be great in your own, personally meaningful, worthwhile, fulfilling way.

Being great doesn't necessarily mean being impressive, or being obsessive, or being anything other than how you sincerely wish to be. Being great means being great at being you.

After all, there's only one of you and that confers upon you an important responsibility. You're the only person who can truly express the unique perspective that you're so fortunate to experience.

Look past the aches and pains, the dilemmas of the moment, the superficial frustrations and disappointments. Remind yourself how good and right it feels to be, and more specifically, to be you.

Don't waste your time borrowing or begging the tired old desires that you wouldn't really even want anyway. Feel the pure energy of your beautiful, unique purpose, and see all the great ways you can live that purpose right now.

Fill your life with richness on this very day by giving your time, commitment and focus to what really, truly matters. Bring your life to life, and be great at being you.

Even when you fail

As desirable as it may be, success usually serves to confirm what you already know. Failure, on the other hand, teaches you something new and valuable.

Failure is painful, and that makes its positive lessons all the more memorable. And failure never has to be final, because of how it teaches you to succeed.

Though you wouldn't want to seek failure, you don't want to fear it either. It is by living with the possibility of failure, and by learning from the experience of failure, that you develop the strength to achieve.

Go ahead, step forward, and give your very best to the effort. Live and act with the genuine confidence of knowing that even when you fail you're making positive progress.

When you're willing to learn and to adjust, failure cannot keep holding you back. When the goal is clear and the purpose is truly yours, you'll find a way to make it happen.

Even when you fail, it won't be for long. Keep that in mind, and have the courage to do what you must do to live the most outstanding life you know you can live.

Thoughts and actions

What you do makes you better at what you think. What you think makes you more effective at what you do.

Take action, after thinking through the consequences that are likely to come from that action. Put some thought into what you intend to do, and then get busy doing it.

Express your best, most authentic thoughts with your actions. Focus and empower your actions with your thoughts.

Balance the informed intelligence of your thoughts with the practical effectiveness of your actions. Thought without action is not worth much, and action without thought can be even worse.

True excellence results from the synergy of thought and action. Both are vitally necessary, and neither one is very beneficial without the other.

Consider, question, observe, evaluate, intend, plan, and then do. Think about what you're doing, and then get busy doing what you think.

Here right now

The fulfillment you seek is here with you now. What you can do is accept it and live it.

The achievement you desire begins to take shape the moment you truly commit to it. Your dreams are here right now for you to bring to life.

Instead of wishing that you could, know that you can. Instead of complaining that your dream is out of reach, feel the love and have the confidence to begin bringing it to life.

From anywhere you are, there is a path that will lead you to where you want to be. In this moment, on this day, the next step on that path is here for you to take.

Power of positive purpose

What if you suddenly lost your ability to doubt? What if you were no longer able to consider anything impossible?

Imagine what you would imagine if there was nothing holding back your imagination. Think of what you would begin to do if the concept of failure did not exist.

Alas, there are obstacles in life, and yet there is no reason to let those obstacles define your life or restrict your thinking. True, there are limiting factors in your world but they don't have to limit your imagination or the results you achieve.

What ultimately holds you back is your choice to be held back by one factor or another. What will always move you forward is your choice to do so, no matter what the obstacles, real or perceived, may be.

The future holds infinite possibilities. The ones that really matter are the ones you choose to follow and to bring into reality.

Let go of the doubt, and let your vision rise to its highest, most meaningful level. Then, with the power of positive purpose, bring that vision to life.

Making it so

Life can be exciting in a good way, and yet it doesn't have to be exciting to be good. It's nice when life is pleasant, and yet life doesn't have to be pleasant to be rich and fulfilling.

It can be helpful when things go your way. However, a little disappointment, or even a lot, is not the end of the world.

The fact is, you can treasure and enjoy life no matter what it brings. You can find real, enriching value in each moment and in every experience.

Don't be too quick to place judgments on events as they unfold. What initially seems like it might hurt you, may very well end up helping you.

Life is largely what you make of it. Choose to see the possibilities for progress in each turn of events, and you'll he able to make great progress.

Instead of worrying about what has happened or what might happen, get busy working to influence what does happen. Life is great when you commit to making it so.

Give it a shot

Go ahead and give it a shot. Though it may or may not work the way you intend, you owe it to yourself to make the attempt and find out.

Let your fears and concerns prepare you, but don't let them stop you. Completely let go of your worries about what others may think, and do what you know in your heart is right.

You are blessed with a unique and valuable vision of how life can be. Go ahead and live that vision as sincerely and completely as you can.

Sure, there are challenges that stand in your way. Yet the fulfillment you seek is worth whatever price you must pay.

The opportunity is here now, so take the necessary action to do something meaningful with it. This moment will soon be gone, so make full use of it while you can.

Touch your purpose, feel your passion, and act on your intentions now. Life is here for you to richly live.

Value from your moments

Value has no limit. No matter how much value you've already created, you can always use your time and effort to create more.

Value has no minimum threshold. Even if you start with nothing but an intention, by applying action, commitment and persistence you can bring real value to life.

Value has no set form. The value you build in your life can be as unique as you are.

Value never goes out of style. When you're committed to creating meaningful value, you'll always have the opportunity to do meaningful, rewarding work.

Value is never out of reach. The moment you envision some specific form of value, you can begin to make it real.

Take this day, this hour, this situation, and bring value to it in your own special way. Make value from your moments and add great richness to your world.

Ups and downs

You won't ever really feel good if feeling good is the only thing you seek. A life with only the ups and no downs is not only impossible, it is undesirable.

You won't achieve anything of value unless you're willing to work your way through some difficult and demanding challenges. Value is built through effort, and there is no way around that.

To become skilled, you must practice, and to learn, you must study. There are always new techniques that can make you more effective, yet there are no shortcuts when it comes to true achievement.

The pains, the disappointments, the frustrations and the trepidations hurt. Because they feel so bad, you have the opportunity to authentically feel good by working your way beyond them.

Life is necessarily difficult, and that's what makes it possible for life to be so good. For it is in dealing with the difficulties that the power of life's goodness is fully experienced.

Live life fully, enjoying the good times and growing stronger by working through the difficult times. Savor the richness that is to be found in it all.

Enjoy the big rewards

Small things can make a big difference. This moment is no exception.

It may seem like just another minute, just another second among the thousands that make up this day. Yet it is the time you now have, and you can now put it to valuable use.

All the power you have to make a difference is focused on now, so use it now. Now is your opportunity to make real progress, so do it now.

You can come away from this moment with new value, or you can come away with regrets. Avoid the regrets and create the value by filling your moments as they come with meaningful action.

This moment may seem small, yet what you do with it can have a profound and lasting effect on your life. Live it now with richness, with purpose, with integrity and love.

Give your best to this moment, and to the next, and to each one that comes your way. Make good use of the small opportunities, and you'll enjoy the big rewards.

Work ahead

The way to get ahead is to work ahead. If you're always playing catch up, the best you can ever hope for is to break even.

It actually takes less effort to do the job at the first minute than it does when you wait and do it at the last minute. So go ahead, get it done way ahead of time, and then you can move on to bigger and better things.

Instead of wasting your time worrying about what must be done, spend your time getting it finished. Use your valuable time to create more value, not to create anxiety.

Put your efforts into making progress, not into making excuses. This very moment is the perfect opportunity to get things done.

The work will have to be done eventually, so go ahead and do it now. When you make good, productive use of every moment you vastly expand your options.

Go ahead and do what must be done, and give yourself the opportunity to do more of the good, exciting things that can be done. Work your way ahead, and discover higher and higher levels of positive possibilities.

Prove it with persistence

If you did it once, you can do it again. When you've taken one step, you can take another.

Prove to yourself and to all of life that you really do wish to reach the destination. Prove it with persistence.

Your wishes and your words might be believed, or they might not. Your persistence, though, is not only an indisputable statement of your intention, but also a bona fide fulfillment of that intention.

Say it with conviction and passion. Then prove it with persistence.

Persistence is not complicated and you never have to do it all at once. Simply persist for a moment, and then for another and another.

With enough persistence, the biggest obstacles will eventually fall and the most ambitious achievements are well within your reach. When you truly want it, prove it with persistence and it will be yours.

What you do best

You can achieve whatever you choose to achieve. The process begins when you truly make the decision and commitment to do it.

The tools are there, and the resources and energy are available. Your main job is to provide the what and the why, the vision and the reason.

Although no significant achievement is easy, whatever you envision is absolutely possible. You owe it to that vision, to yourself and to all of life to transform the possibility into reality.

As each day passes, you must spend your time, your energy and your efforts on one thing or another. Choose then, to invest yourself in something that truly matters.

You are equipped and inclined and eager to achieve, so focus on a goal that has real meaning, and follow it. Remember that your desire to attain the goal is also a desire to go through the enriching, fulfilling process of reaching that goal.

Achievement is what you do best, so take the opportunity to do it. Fill your days with achievement, and give yourself the meaning and fulfillment you desire and deserve.

Making even more

Strength does not get used up when you use it. In fact, it grows.

Sharing your wisdom with another person does not take that wisdom away from you. It actually deepens your wisdom, and makes it even more profound.

Giving your love does not in any way diminish the love you have. It makes your love richer and more meaningful.

You can speak the truth all day long, and at the end of the day that truth is more plentiful than it was at the beginning. You can exercise compassion for month after month, and you'll end up with even more compassion.

Some of the most powerful and valuable things in life are the things that never get used up. Indeed, those things such as love, integrity, truth, compassion and wisdom become more plentiful the more they're used.

As each moment passes, make full, joyous and meaningful use of life's goodness. When you do, you'll be making even more.

Keep your standards high

Hold yourself to a high standard. To raise the quality of your reality, raise your expectations.

Refuse to listen to your own excuses. Demand integrity, commitment and persistence from yourself in all your undertakings.

Keep yourself lovingly and gratefully focused on whatever is truly important to you. Let go of any urge to be cynical, and allow your most meaningful dreams to flourish within your awareness.

Get in the habit of finding and expanding what's best, in yourself, in others, and in each situation. Learn to see the value in moments large and small, and act to make positive use of that value.

Resist the temptation to shortchange yourself or others, or to settle for anything less than your very best. This is your unique and precious life, so give it all the respect and effort it is due.

Fill each day with richness and excellence, competence and solid, honest commitment. Keep your standards high, and seek to live such that you'll never have any regrets.

Be amazing at being you

Your most important job is to be you. Because that's something nobody else can do.

Through your perspective, life is able to know and experience itself in a unique and valuable way. From your efforts, the world receives goodness that can come from nowhere else.

You owe it to yourself to fulfill your best possibilities. And you owe it to all of life to express the beauty and the abundance in your own unique way.

You're not here to merely be the same as anyone else, and you won't really find any satisfaction in doing so. The greatest gift you have to give is in the living of your most deeply held values and desires.

Live each moment with the courage of your uniqueness. Be amazing at being you.

Do the hard stuff

Do the hard stuff, because it is the fulfilling stuff. Do the hard stuff, because it brings out your best.

Yes, it's a lot of work and a lot of trouble, frustrating and inconvenient. So spend a few minutes complaining about it if that will make you feel better.

Then, get over your reluctance, get past your resistance, and get to work on getting it done. Ramp up your determination, make the commitment, and dive in.

Soon you'll be feeling how good it feels when you're creating value that never existed before. Soon you'll find yourself being carried along by the momentum of achievement.

Don't merely embrace the challenges. Go out and look for the most meaningful and valuable ones.

Choose to do the hard stuff, finding delight in the efforts you're able to make. And you'll enjoy the richest, longest-lasting, most fulfilling rewards.

Responsibility for living

Value is created not by avoiding the challenges but by working through the challenges. Fulfillment comes not from doing what is easy but from doing what is right.

The person who can most effectively solve your problems is you. The person who is best positioned to create meaningful value in your life is you.

Every real opportunity to achieve comes with a responsibility to make a difference. The richness that is truly yours is the richness you express through your thoughts, your efforts, your commitments and priorities.

No person or possession or circumstance can give you happiness. Yet you can experience as much happiness and fulfillment as you wish, by the way you choose to live.

Stop wishing that someone or something will make life easier for you. Start working to more fully express and fulfill the value that you know is yours to create.

Sure, there are problems, challenges and difficulties. And as you take responsibility for living through them, the richness continues to grow.

Make the best

You won't always get the best, yet you can always make the best from whatever you get. You won't always get your way, yet you can always make your way forward no matter what.

Even when the situation is not perfect, you can make the best of it. Even when the initial outcome is not ideal, you can make the best of it.

Instead of wishing for what could have been, choose to effectively and successfully deal with what is. Instead of assigning blame, assign yourself the task of finding and implementing a positive way forward.

You can choose where you're headed, no matter where you're coming from. Stop wasting energy fighting against what has already happened, and apply that energy toward a positive purpose.

Focus your awareness and your efforts on the most positive, desirable outcome. Make the best of the situation where you find yourself by visualizing and following a path to whatever you truly desire.

You deserve the best, and you deserve the positive, enriching experience of bringing it about. So whatever comes your way, make the best of it, and give yourself the positive outcome you deserve to enjoy.

In an instant

Life can change in an instant, so do everything you can to make that work in your favor. Choose to use this instant to change your world for the better.

Life can change in an instant, and you can be the one who changes it. Even the small, positive actions have beneficial consequences that stretch and multiply far into the future.

This is just one small moment right now. Yet it is an opportunity to have a positive impact, and after it will be another such opportunity, and another, and another.

The power you have is in this instant, right now, ready for you to make use of in a positive way. The influence of what you do today will quite literally shape the future, in ways that go far beyond anything you can imagine.

It's natural to look at life from the perspective of what has been, yet there's a much more empowering perspective available to you. Focus your energy on visualizing and feeling how life can be when it is at its best, and use this instant to live in that direction.

From moment to moment, from instant to instant, life changes, and in that change is limitless opportunity. Now is your chance to seize that opportunity, and to bring great value to life in your world.

Life moves forward

The challenges show you how powerful and effective you can be when you must be. The positive possibilities give you satisfying and fulfilling ways to make use of your strength.

The difficult times help you to more fully appreciate what you have. The good times help you to see how very much joy is possible.

The disappointments bring you valuable, meaningful and useful experience. The successes give you the confidence to reach even higher.

Those who criticize you offer you priceless feedback and important new perspectives. Those who appreciate what you've done give you the encouragement to do even more.

No matter which way the individual events may go, life moves forward. From each and every experience and outcome, there is something of value to be gained.

Instead of worrying or judging or obsessing about what may or may not come, accept and appreciate what does come. Then, with a strong and thankful heart, make good and purposeful use of it all.

Live by intention

What can you do today that would create real fulfillment of the purpose you know is yours? Take a deep breath, feel the immense power of your intention, and do it.

How can you bring your own unique beauty and perspective to this moment and to the circumstances in which you find yourself? With a joyous, generous heart, give that beauty expression in your actions right now.

If you live merely by reaction, you're always playing catch up, and that's not really living. Choose to live by intention.

When you have a thought or a feeling or a desire, explore it, seek to understand it and to follow where it leads. You can have a positive and meaningful influence on each moment, so take the opportunity to exercise that influence.

Put the special, one-of-a-kind beauty of who you are into practice here, now and always. Fill your days with the value and satisfaction of authentic living.

Live by intention, from the inside out. Do, say and be what you know is truly you.

In your hands

If it takes some time, then take the time. If it requires some effort, then make the effort.

When you don't know how, you can learn. When you require some assistance, ask for it.

If one path is blocked, start looking for another way. When something knocks you off track, get up quickly and point yourself back in the right direction.

Decide that you will not tolerate any excuses, not from yourself or from anyone else. Do what it takes to deal with life as it comes, and firmly take control of your own destiny.

Be kind, be polite, be respectful and understanding, all while being your own person. Spend less time complaining and judging, and more time making a real, positive difference.

Your life is in your hands. So keep those hands working in a thankful, loving and effective way.

Live like you love it

Even though it is unpleasant, you can do it if you must. Even if it is difficult and complicated, you can work your way through it when you choose.

Select your path not because it is easy but because it is right, for you, for your world, for your purpose, for your life. Spend your precious time not just to pass the time, but to build meaningful value.

See that in each challenge is a new way to grow stronger. Know that in each problem is an opportunity to move forward.

When the results are not what you expected, that's no reason to lower your expectations. Instead, learn from the disappointment, raise your expectations even higher, and fashion a more effective approach.

This is your life and this very day is your chance to fill it with real and meaningful substance. This is when you can experience the special beauty and fullness of what it means to be you.

Whatever the constraints, whatever the situation, live like you love it. And you will.

Feel the abundance as it flows ever more powerfully through your life. Make use of it, in truly beautiful and unique new ways.
