Skip the drama

You can avoid a lot of needless drama by continuing to remind yourself of your purpose. Instead of wasting your time and energy on issues that make no difference, focus yourself on achieving the goals you've chosen.

If someone is standing in your way, your purpose is not to punish or belittle that person. Your purpose is to get beyond that person's opposition in a positive, respectful and effective way.

Pouting, whining, intimidation, name calling, seeking to make others feel guilty, and similar tactics produce no real value for anyone. If you're obsessed with getting even, it's impossible for you to get ahead.

Your aim is to achieve your goal, to fulfill your purpose. It is not to diminish anyone else.

Put your energy into envisioning and creating positive, meaningful value. Put thoughts, feelings and efforts toward things that will do you, and others, some good.

Remember your purpose, and follow it in a positive, creative way. Skip all the drama and go straight to the goal.

Diversions

It's easy to distract yourself with all sorts of meaningless diversions. It's much better to challenge yourself to create meaningful value.

Diversions can be interesting, informative and enjoyable, and they certainly have their place. But don't let them steal large chunks of your life away from you.

If no one, including yourself, benefits from what you're doing, it's time to change what you're doing. Make the choice to value your time by making the choice to get real value from it.

You are worthy of the very best in life. So step away from the meaningless diversions, and work to create the very best, most fulfilling moments, days, months and years.

Be curious, filled with wonder, and open to all the beauty that life has to offer. At the same time, be continuously purposeful and focused on creating meaningful value.

Life is amazing. Make the most of every opportunity to make it even more so.

Delight in the efforts

When there is much work to be done, there is much life to be lived, and much value to be created. The difficult, challenging tasks are the most desirable ones, for they're the ones that can make life rich.

If the work is hard, if the task is demanding, take it as a golden opportunity to raise your performance to an even higher level. You have what it takes to diligently work your way through, and the rewards can be enormous when you do.

Delight in the efforts, for those efforts will bring much meaningful substance to life. Embrace the challenges, and those challenges will give you strength, confidence, persistence and satisfaction.

You know how good it feels to make a difference. It feels great, so do it again and again.

Instead of being weighed down with regret, let yourself be buoyed by your own achievements. Embrace the efforts, find delight in them, and feel the power of your own purpose as it is manifested through your actions.

Give your best, most enthusiastic efforts to life. And you'll be giving great fulfillment to yourself.

With life as it is, make joy

Embrace this day, this moment, this life, and with it, make joy. Feel and fully experience the reality of what is, and in the midst of it, make joy.

No matter how much or how little joy you've known in the past, now is your opportunity to make more. Focus on how good it is to simply be, and let pure, unconditional joy flow from your awareness.

Though you have pains and problems and challenges, you also have the good fortune of being able to make joy. With life as it is, from where you are, with what you have, make joy.

There is no need to fight or run away, to feel bitter or to make excuses, to give up, to back down, or to fall into a negative mindset. You have life, and you always have the ability to make joy.

Smile, and warm the world around you. Breathe deeply, gently, and peacefully feel the miracle of your own existence.

Live life as it comes. And with it, every bit of it, make joy.

Being positive

You cannot instantly change the situation by being positive about it. What you can instantly change is your perspective, and that will give you an enormous advantage.

Even when there's no good justification for being positive, be positive. Because it is always far superior to the alternative, and gives you maximum power and effectiveness.

Being positive is a choice you can make that will connect you to the best possibilities. Being positive forces you to also be positively creative.

When things are difficult, do you really want to make them even more difficult by being negative? Choose instead to realistically see the situation for what it is, and then to be positive about moving forward from it.

Eventually, somebody is going to change things for the better, and it might as well be you. Think and see and do from a positive perspective and create good, meaningful value.

By being positive you are being powerful, useful, thankful, compassionate, sincere and highly effective. Make the choice to be positive, and truly make the world a better place.

Make it good

Even when you've had it bad, you can choose to make it good. With what you have, from where you are, no matter where you have been, now you can make it good.

The easy choices are to whine, to complain, to blame, or to simply do nothing. The best choice, however, is to make it good.

Take the victories, the defeats, the frustrations, the successes, the joys and the disappointments, and with it all, make it good. Take this moment, this situation, this environment, this opportunity, this challenge, and make it good.

There's nothing you can do to change what has already happened. What you can do now is make it good.

Don't just talk about it, or plan to do it, or wonder if you can. Get busy, get going, get committed and make it good.

This is your life and this is your opportunity to make a difference. This is your great chance to make it good, so do.

Every moment a miracle

Every moment is a miracle. Every day is filled with magnificent wonder.

Opportunities for joy, and possibilities for great enrichment, are everywhere. A vast abundance spreads out in all directions.

Even the troubling, challenging moments have their positive components. For it is in each moment that the miracle of your life is lived.

Though the petty, frustrating things vie for your attention, they do not have to dominate you. You can choose to remind yourself, again and again, how miraculous it all is.

You can act to make something even more beautiful out of the beauty that already is. You can celebrate, appreciate, and support the goodness and positive value in your world.

The miracle you seek is this moment. Live it as the miracle it is, and the miracle will be yours.

Focus on your good fortune

Think about the things that are right with your life. Think about the good and valuable relationships, skills, tools, resources and opportunities that you have right here, right now.

Focus on what's right with your life, and make the commitment to make it grow. Focus on what's right with your life, and make good and purposeful use of that value to make even more.

It's easy to complain about what's wrong. But not only does that miss the point, it keeps you stuck in a gloomy, ineffectual perspective.

The fact is, there are plenty of good things in your life. The more you pay attention to them, the more thankful you are for them, the more of them there will be.

If you catch yourself feeling sorry for yourself, have the good sense to stop. Re-direct your energy into feeling lucky for the opportunity you have to make a real, meaningful difference.

Focus on your good fortune. It's most definitely there, and you can use it to make a whole lot more.

Opinions

Give consideration to the opinions of others. But don't let those mere opinions become your reality.

Opinions are valuable, and yet they are far from infallible. What really matters is not what someone else might think, but rather the way you choose to live your life.

Opinions are easy to adopt, to create and to discard. Yet the real substance of life is in action, commitment, persistence and experience, not in tenuous opinions.

It's fine to have strong opinions. Just make sure those opinions are not a substitute for an active, rich and meaningful life.

Most opinions are based primarily on what has already happened. There's a whole universe of possibilities that those opinions fail to take into account.

Focus on the best of those possibilities, and work to make them real. Instead of being boxed in by opinions, be liberated by your creation of new and beautiful facts.

One thing well

If you attempt to do too much at once, you can end up doing not much at all. It is focus, not frenzy, that brings the best achievements to fruition.

Give respect and love to what you're doing by giving the whole of your attention to it. Your efforts are vastly more effective when your mind is clearly focused.

Remember, the goal is not merely to be busy. The goal is to make a positive, meaningful difference.

When your mind is filled with dozens of different concerns and priorities, its awesome power becomes severely diluted. Make full use of your thoughts, your skills and your actions by not letting them become too scattered.

Be eager, enthusiastic and ambitious about doing more, but not so much that you lose focus on what you're doing now. Do one thing well, with great focus, then the next, and the next.

Make the choice to focus, and you make the choice to significantly improve your effectiveness. Finish the first thing before turning your attention to the next thing, and you'll be able to do everything better.

Let yourself

Let yourself think empowering thoughts. Let yourself do amazing things.

Let yourself enjoy the beauty. Let yourself feel the wonder.

You can fill this very day, this moment, this situation with positive, meaningful value. So go ahead, and let yourself do it.

The limitations limit you mostly because you expect them to. Raise your expectations, and let yourself move ahead more quickly and confidently than ever before.

Let yourself dream, and let yourself enjoy doing the challenging work to reach those dreams. Let yourself see what is truly possible, and let yourself bring the best of it into being.

There is amazing greatness within you. Let yourself live it, now.

Send love

Instead of sending anger, send love. Instead of filling your mind with worry or frustration, fill your thoughts with love.

Send genuine love to those who support you. Send genuine love to those who disagree with you.

Let go of the need to get the last word, or to get even or to prove yourself. Send love, and you'll find yourself living with unassailable strength and effectiveness.

Send love, and feel your anxiety melt away. Send love, and experience life at its highest level.

When you're not sure what to do, do what is authentic, honest and caring. Move forward with love, for yourself, for life, and for others, and you'll be moving toward good and valuable things.

Live a life that is real, and rich, and full. Send love, and live the best there is.

Now you can do more

You've done a lot, and now you can do more. Good things happen when you keep going.

If you stop now, you could lose valuable momentum. While you're already making some progress, keep going.

The things you've done will enable you to do much more. Keep going, and build achievements on top of achievements.

If your efforts have resulted in failure, adjust those efforts and continue making them. If your efforts have resulted in success, expand on those efforts and work yourself toward even greater success.

There's always more you can do, so do it. You're capable of making an even bigger positive difference, so make it.

Persistence pays off, so make it pay for you. Now is when you can keep on going, and make life better than it's ever been.

Improved attitude

No matter how good and positive your attitude may be, you can improve it. And when you improve your attitude, your attitude improves you.

To improve your attitude, you don't have to deny reality. When you improve your attitude, it doesn't mean things will be perfect.

What it means is that you'll be more positive, more effective, and more solidly focused on the best possibilities. What it means is that you'll live and act from a position of strength.

With an improved attitude, you can still clearly see all the problems. Yet instead of living in fear of them, you'll choose to be bigger than those problems.

Right now, there's a certain way you feel about life, and a certain way you expect life to be. Just think of what could happen if you made the choice to raise those expectations.

Whether you have a great attitude or a lousy one, decide today to improve it. For where your attitude goes, your life will quickly follow.

Take the time to live

Life is so much more than just getting by. Take the time to truly and richly live.

It's great to observe what happens in the world. It's infinitely better to play an active, contributing role.

Sure, the easiest and most comfortable thing to do is to stay within the confines of your habitual routine. However, this is a new day and you deserve to get some new adventures out of it.

Your life is unique and precious, so live each moment with that in mind. Fill the day with meaningful substance, and fill the world with your own special joy.

Venture out, jump in, and be a part of this great and fascinating universe in which you find yourself. A very special part of your life, this day, is here right now, so fill it with all the goodness you can, right now.

Remind yourself how good you have it, and of how very much better it can be. On this day, in this place, as you are, with what you have, let go of the fears, worries and doubts, and richly, joyfully live.

Okay with what is

When you find it difficult to move forward, that's okay. Allow it to be what it is, and allow yourself to do what you can.

When you feel disappointed, let it be okay. Feel the disappointment, and then you can choose to let it go and to move beyond it.

Don't waste your energy denying what has happened or getting yourself upset about it. Instead, put your energy to positive use by finding, and working to fulfill, the best possibilities.

There's no good reason to spend a lot of time complaining about what got you into a difficult situation. That merely keeps you stuck where you are.

The first step in moving forward is to stop looking backwards. Stop wishing that things had been different and start working to make things a whole lot better.

Be okay with what is, and be positive and creative in making good things from it. Remind yourself that each situation is a starting point from which you can work to create meaningful value.

True caring

Caring is more than a thought. True caring is a way of life.

When you care enough to learn, to commit, to discipline yourself, to make the effort and to do it right, you achieve excellence. When you care enough to desire the best for all of life, you experience life in a beautiful, joyful and fulfilling way.

The more you care about what you do, the better you become at doing it. The more you care about all that is, the more positive value you find in every situation.

If you don't really, truly care about what you're doing, you're wasting precious moments of your life. When you do care, and act on what you care about, every day brings new, valuable opportunities.

Caring is not the easiest or most convenient choice, and can in fact be extremely difficult. Yet caring is the best choice, because it gives rich meaning to your life and to your efforts.

Live each day, approach every encounter and perform each task with real, authentic caring. Truly care about the way you live, and the way you live will bring great value and fulfillment.

Able to imagine

You have a beautiful and powerful imagination. Use it to advance your life and your world.

You have the ability to see things that are not yet real, and then to follow that vision and bring it to life. Imagine good, valuable, meaningful and life-enriching things, then get busy and make them real.

There is no limit to what you can imagine. And because of that, there is really no limit on how high you can lift all of life.

It may not seem realistic to imagine great and beautiful and wonderful things. And yet, so very many of the great, wonderful, beautiful things that enrich your life started in someone's imagination.

Just because something appears out of reach, does not mean it must stay out of reach. Imagine the very best, and then imagine your way to it.

It is your great fortune to be able to imagine. Tap into that fortune, and find joy in sharing it with all the world.

Yours to choose

Achievement doesn't care about what credentials you have or don't have. It doesn't care about your physical appearance or what groups you belong to.

Achievement doesn't care how many times you've failed in the past. It doesn't care about the mistakes you've made.

Achievement doesn't care that you've said you're going to do it a dozen or a hundred or a thousand times in the past and then failed each time to do so. Achievement is yours to have right now if you choose to work for it right now.

The past is over and doesn't play a role in what you can do next. Your present situation does not have the power to hold you back unless you allow it.

Achievement is yours when you make the commitment to create it. Achievement is yours when you choose to set a truly meaningful and compelling goal in front of yourself and then do the work to reach it.

Achievement is yours to choose, no matter what. Choose achievement now, and get busy adding real richness to life.

Inside and out

What happens on the outside matters. Yet the way you choose to be on the inside, matters much, much more.

Outside factors do indeed make life challenging. Yet the inside factors are what allow those challenges on the outside to hold you back, or enable them to push you forward.

You can change the outside world for the better. To do so, you must continually keep a positive orientation on the inside.

What you think about life determines what you're able to do with your life. The way you feel about life sets the stage for the way you actually live the moments of each day.

Sure, it might go against your intuition to be up when the world seems to be pulling you down. However, you most certainly can do it, and when you do, you can quickly change things for the better.

Make it your intention to be strong, positive, purposeful, compassionate, curious and creative on the inside. And you cannot help but make a significant and beautiful difference in the world around you.

Be good with now

Right now, you have life and the time to live it. Fill that time, right now, with your very best attitude, your most sincere gratitude and your most effective actions.

Be good with now, and now will be very good with you. Be amazed and inspired at the value of what is, and that value will be yours to use for good and meaningful purposes.

You don't have to waste your energy wishing for things to be different. You can do great and wonderful things with what actually, already is.

Be good with now, and see the possibilities. Be good with now, and transform life's ever-present abundance into real fulfillment.

Replace worry with wonder, and with an eagerness to fully immerse yourself in the unmatched experience of being right where you are. Replace fear with love for the outstanding possibilities that are yours here and now.

Let go of the illusion that happiness is being withheld from you because you don't have this thing or that. Open your eyes, open your whole being, and allow the immeasurable goodness that is yours to live, right now.

The most fun

Those who get the most done are those who have the most fun. Those who work at the highest level of effectiveness are those who genuinely enjoy what they're doing.

Having fun doesn't mean being useless or irresponsible or lacking in focus. Having fun means having a positive, playful, curious and enthusiastic attitude about whatever you're doing.

If you must get it done, then get it done while having fun. Put fun into it, and you'll get much more out of it.

Fighting against yourself, against the effort, and against the situation does not achieve anything of value. Instead, allow yourself to enjoy the experience.

As long as you're doing it anyway, make it fun. Truly enjoy and treasure your work, your life, your responsibilities and your circumstances, and make the very best of them.

There are countless ways to have fun when you make the choice to do it. So go ahead, have a whole lot of real, genuine fun, and you'll get a whole lot more done.

Into the resistance

When outside resistance is pushing against you, what's the best direction to go? Without question, the best direction is straight toward the resistance, because you'll also be headed straight toward your goal.

The faster you're going in the direction you have chosen to go, the more resistance you'll encounter. Stick your hand out the car window when you're driving at freeway speed, and you'll feel a whole lot more resistance than you will when sitting still.

The challenges and setbacks will push against you, and yet they also confirm that you're making meaningful effort and progress. Keep making that effort, heading into the resistance, and you'll soon make it through.

Don't resist the resistance or turn and run from it. Face the resistance, fully focused on your goal, and step by step, inch by inch, day by day, move positively forward.

When you're encountering great resistance, you have the opportunity to create great value. With a solid and steady commitment, you can do whatever must be done.

On the other side of the resistance is the reward you seek. Get yourself through it, and get to the value you've chosen to create.

Live joy

Don't wait for success to bring joy to your life. Live in joy, and by so doing you'll bring truly meaningful success to your pursuits.

Be joyful for no reason other than because it's so good for you, and for the world around you. Remember that whatever you're doing, you'll do it more effectively when you're feeling life's joy.

When the challenges come, meet them with joy and transform them into valuable achievements. When the disappointments come, be joyful that you now have the opportunity to move beyond them.

It's difficult for anything to bring you down when you constantly realign your focus on lifting the world up. Find ways to more fully express true joy, and experience the power of positive living.

Live with joy, and you'll find your eyes opened to life's best, most valuable possibilities. Begin the day with joy, and you'll end the day with gratitude for the richness it has brought.

You can choose how to live, so live joy. Make joy the way you are, and you'll experience life from an optimal vantage point.

Positive agenda

There's much incompetence, injustice, negativity and outright evil in the world, but you don't have to take it personally. Instead of letting it bring you down, let it inspire you to live at an even higher level.

It's easy to get discouraged by difficulties and misfortune. Yet it is just as easy to become positively, purposefully determined when you make that choice.

There are all sorts of people who have all sorts of agendas. Your best choice is to live by your own, most positive and life-affirming agenda.

There's no need to get into petty arguments about which way is best. Simply express your values and opinions by the way you live.

Adopt a positive agenda, and re-commit yourself to it each day. Let it guide your thoughts, feelings and actions, so you won't be recklessly tossed around by the negativity of others.

Live with a positive agenda, not in order to feel superior but rather so you can give the best of yourself to all of life. Live with a positive agenda, and experience the fulfillment of a life that has sincere meaning and purpose.

Give it a shot

Instead of wondering whether or not you can do it, find out for sure. Give it a shot, and give it your best.

Rather than worrying about looking foolish, focus on being creative, productive and effective. Choose a plausible way forward, and then go for it.

You might succeed or you might fail. Either way, you'll end up much better off then just doing nothing.

Value is built not by speculation or by wishing or wondering. Value is built by solid, committed action and persistence.

You have it in you to create much more great and meaningful value in this world. What a shame it would be to let that potential go unused.

So go ahead, let go of the complacency and leave the excuses behind. Give it a shot, and make it happen.

Life has taught you

There is so very much that life has taught you. Now is when you can make good and valuable use of the lessons.

All the things you've done and experienced have given you great, practical, meaningful wisdom. Now you can live and act more wisely, and more effectively, than ever before.

Life has taught you well, yet it can often be frightening and uncomfortable to apply those lessons. Because if you truly pay heed to what life has taught, you'll be compelled to move beyond what is comfortable and familiar.

Life has taught you that sticking with what doesn't work just because it's what you know, doesn't work. Life has taught you that avoiding all risk ends up being the riskiest thing you can do.

It's easy to make excuses and to avoid effort, but life has taught you that kind of approach doesn't ever end very well. And life has taught you that when you do accept the risk, and take action, and live with integrity, there's no limit to the great things you can accomplish.

Have the courage and the faith to step forward and live the way life has taught you. You know from experience what can make life great, so take the opportunity, right now, to put those valuable life lessons to good and meaningful use.
