Joy is a choice

There is nothing that can make you happy if you choose not to be. And there is nothing that can prevent you from being happy when happiness is your choice.

There is no need to delay the joy of living until some future, imagined, ideal time when conditions are perfect. Now is when you are living your life, and now is your opportunity to live with genuine joy.

No position or possession or experience or set of circumstances will make your life good. Your life already is filled with magnificent goodness that's yours to be experienced to whatever degree you allow.

Worrying about the future achieves nothing other than to rob you of joy in the present. Feel the wonder of your being, right here, right now, and fill your awareness with its richness.

Instead of looking for reasons to be envious or resentful, see in each moment all the opportunities for joy. Instead of avoiding or delaying what must be done, step enthusiastically forward each time you have a chance to make a difference.

Joy is a beautiful, life-affirming choice that you can always make no matter what. Choose to live with joy, and give yourself a life that's truly rich.

Powerful combination

Be thankful for what you've done, learn from it, and use what you now know to move forward. Regretting and second-guessing your past actions will just hold you back, so quit beating yourself up and start pushing yourself ahead.

Though your past hasn't been perfect, it has been successful in many ways. For what you've done in the past has provided you with the opportunities you now have in the present.

In a very real sense, you are more knowledgeable, more capable, more experienced and more inspired right now than ever before. You are now here, ready to make good, meaningful use of all that.

Now, you have the opportunity to transform past disappointments into future successes. Take whatever has happened, and choose for it to serve you well going forward.

This is not the time to rest on your previous achievements or to be demoralized by your past mistakes. This is the time to gather it all into a positive forward momentum.

This is a new moment and you are the best you've ever been. Transform that powerful combination into truly valuable results.

Care enough

It's good that you care, yet it takes more than caring. It takes action and ongoing commitment to nurture, achieve and support the things you care about.

Genuinely caring is vitally important, and it is just the first step. Genuine caring compels you to work for what you care about.

Go beyond merely saying that you care. Show that you care with your actions and priorities.

Express your caring with effectiveness, with competence, with excellence and with meaningful results. Care enough to do the real work, and care enough to do your absolute best.

Don't merely wish for a positive outcome. Make the effort to make that positive outcome actually happen.

Your caring makes a difference when you step forward and make a difference.

This very day

Your life is here, right now, today, so live it. The opportunity to move forward is in this moment, so take it and make it count.

No time is a good time for excuses, so don't waste your energy even thinking about them. This is the time for action, so get going.

Your life on this very day offers countless magnificent possibilities. And this very day is the day when you can act to bring the best of those possibilities to life.

The clock is already running, so make the time work in your favor as it passes. Make the time work for you by working to make meaningful, purposeful and valuable use of it.

There is so much you've already done, and so much more you can do. Focus on your most positive, highly desired vision of how life can be, and bring that vision to life in your world.

Your own best possibilities are calling to you on this very day. Heed the call, do the work, make a difference, make it count, and feel the joy as those beautiful possibilities spring to life.

Life as it is

Whatever may happen, there is no need for dismay. Always, there is the opportunity to creatively and successfully deal with the things life sends your way.

There's nothing to be gained by wishing that things had turned out differently. Pick yourself up, connect with the energy of your passion, put a smile on your face and move forward with what is.

Your best choice is always to be your best. And you can't be your best when you're complaining or regretting or worried or dismayed.

Every situation generates a new set of positive possibilities. So in every situation, choose to see those possibilities and to enthusiastically follow them.

Each setback is just another step toward getting where you have chosen to go. Learn, adapt, re-commit, and get quickly back on track.

Every twist and turn in the road of life gives you the opportunity to make a difference. Relish those opportunities, make the most of them, and build a magnificent life.

Nourished by thoughts

Your life is constantly nourished by your thoughts. Whatever the direction your life is moving, your thoughts have led you there.

Consider any possibility, and by your thoughts about it you have given that possibility a presence in your life. As you dwell on that possibility, its presence grows stronger and more vivid within you.

By giving your thoughts to life's goodness, you fill your own life with a unique expression of that goodness. By focusing your awareness on the positive possibilities, you gain real access to them.

Your mind is an enormously powerful tool over which you have intentional control. There is no limit to what you can think, and no limit to how far those thoughts can carry you.

You set the direction of your life with the thoughts you most consistently and persistently think. Fill your mind with thoughts of goodness and positive possibility, and allow those thoughts to guide your every action.

Give your life the highest quality nourishment and the most positive energy you can imagine. Let your positive, loving thoughts set the stage for a truly rich and fulfilling life.

Positive assumptions

Assume the best, and then work to make your assumption true. Assume you can do it, and then go about finding a way to get it done.

Your assumptions exert a powerful influence on your thoughts, actions and perceptions. To make your life more fulfilling, make your assumptions more positive.

At any point in time, life has so many pathways to choose from that you cannot possibly perceive them all. What you will see are the possibilities you assume to be there.

That doesn't mean those possibilities are imaginary. What it means is that those very real possibilities are discernable and available to you because of the assumptions you've made.

Negative, disabling assumptions lead you in the direction of a very dismal reality. Positive, empowering assumptions give you every opportunity to live a rich, fulfilling life.

Though assumptions don't make your wishes come true, they can give you the perspective necessary for bringing your dreams to life. Assume the best, and you'll encounter plenty of opportunities to make it happen.

Enjoy life itself

The simple, common things in life can be just as enjoyable as the big, impressive things. When you make the choice to enjoy life itself, you'll find yourself being lifted up by anything and everything.

Enjoy life itself, with all the ups and downs, and you won't waste your precious time worrying about what's coming next. Relish the experience of life itself, and every day will be filled with opportunities for true joy.

It's great to have big, wonderful, meaningful dreams and ambitions. But you don't want to postpone your enjoyment of life until after those dreams are realized.

Instead, find joy in the everyday process of bringing your dreams about. Find your joy in the everyday moments of life itself.

You don't have to wish or beg or hope or struggle for more. You already have life itself, and the more of it you live, the more of its goodness you have.

Rather than putting conditions and judgments on your experiences, simply enjoy life itself. And in that joy, you'll find life getting better and better.

Shining positive example

Don't let the negative opinions, attitudes, and choices of others get you down. Make your own choice to follow a positive, productive and meaningful path forward.

Don't let yourself be angered or frustrated by the carelessness or incompetence of the people you encounter. With your own relentless commitment to excellence, raise those encounters to a higher level.

Generously and sincerely offer your encouragement, but don't become dismayed if that encouragement is not immediately embraced. Do what you know is good and right and effective, even when there are few who understand and support you.

There's no need to compromise your values in order to get along with others. You can be genuinely kind, understanding, compassionate and helpful while also staying true to who you are.

Let the negativity of others inspire you to live each moment of your own life as a shining positive example. Make the whole world better by being your best.

Life is much too precious, and too full of great opportunities, to get mired in the negativity you encounter. Choose to rise above it, and encourage everyone else to come along.

The best circumstance

It's great to be where you are, and it's great to have what you have. It's great to know what you know, and it's great to be who you are.

The opportunity to live a life of joy, meaning, and fulfillment is not somewhere else, or in another time or situation. It is right here, right now.

The best circumstance from which to move forward is not in some distant, idealized future. It is the circumstance where you now find yourself, because that is the circumstance from which you can immediately take your first, powerful step.

If you wait until conditions are perfect, waiting is all you'll ever do. Stop demanding perfection from the world and start demanding immediate, effective action from yourself.

Merely wishing for things to be different, will just get you more of the same. It is by making good use of what you have, that you're able to create and attract what you desire.

Your life's great treasure is not in some alternate place or time or situation. It is yours to be claimed right now with the power of your positive, focused thoughts and efforts.

Achievement zone

Venture beyond what you know you can do, and soon you'll know you can do more. Give yourself a solid, meaningful, positive challenge, and in working to meet that challenge you'll encounter a more powerful you.

If you feel stuck, the way out is not to hope for someone who will come along and make it all better. The way out is to be the motivated, passionate, purposeful person who will indeed make things much better.

When you don't know how, take it upon yourself to learn. When you're not sure what to do, work through your choices and your priorities until you're able to aim your focus in a specific direction.

Life can be complicated, yet you have what it takes to figure it out. Life can be challenging, and yet you have the outstanding ability to work through those challenges.

From the most difficult situations you can build your biggest successes. Beyond your comfort zone is your achievement zone.

Step boldly and confidently into that achievement zone, and enthusiastically do the work it demands of you. Discover how very much you can do by making the real, unwavering commitment to get it done.

Truly joyful

Life can be discouraging, but you don't have to be discouraged. Even when there is no reason for joy, you can be truly joyful.

Discouragement is possible only because you know things can be better. So instead of focusing on the discouraging aspects of the situation, focus on what you can do to improve it.

You can always choose to be more positive than your circumstances. Feel the love you have for life's goodness, and see the possibilities for expressing that goodness in new and meaningful ways.

If you're troubled by the world around you, the most powerful thing you can do is to change yourself. Instead of buying into the world's troubles, give the world your own authentic joy.

Yes, life is difficult and yes, you can experience immense joy and fulfillment anyway. Let go of your self-pity and connect with your positive power.

Make the choice to live according not to your darkest fears, but to your highest, brightest expectations. Make the choice, no matter what, to live with the joy that is always yours to give.

Participate in abundance

Let go of thoughts about what you need, and focus on the valuable things you can do with what you have. Abundance is real and present in your life, so allow yourself to see it, to embrace it, and to make positive use of it all.

Stop wishing for life to be easy, and start working to create greatness and fulfillment out of the very obstacles that are so difficult. Your investment in life is what makes it so very much worth living.

Participate in life's abundance by forging it into meaningful value with your thoughts, actions and commitments. Be an essential part of life's beauty by expanding and intensifying that beauty with the way you live each moment.

It is by seeking to give your best that you discover and develop and connect to the best that is within you. It is by making good and meaningful use of life's abundance that you gain access to more and more abundance.

There is always something valuable you can do with whatever is available to you. Wherever you may be, whatever circumstances may surround you, your best option is always to work diligently toward making a positive difference.

Participate in life's abundance by working creatively and persistently with whatever you have. Find the sweet, true fulfillment that comes from giving your best.

New achievement

You are just one quick step away from beginning to make progress. Take that first step, and start to put momentum on your side.

Don't continue pouring your time, energy and resources into staying comfortably where you are. Invest yourself in new achievement, new experience and new fulfillment.

The biggest regrets are for opportunities missed, for actions not taken. Instead of creating future regrets, use this day to create present and future value.

Use this day to do something useful, purposeful and meaningful. Feel how great it feels to make a real difference, and commit yourself to continue feeling it.

Don't let your doubts hold back your actions. Instead, take action and let those actions erase your doubts.

The opportunities are here for you, so choose to be here today for them. Get up, get going, get started and get on with bringing new value and achievement to your world.

Practice persistence

The most valuable experiences are often the most difficult experiences. The biggest challenges bring out the best in you, and compel you to make your best even better.

Difficult situations are not much fun. Yet by working your way through them, you create great strength and value.

Even when your hard work is not fully appreciated or immediately rewarded, it still brings important value to your life. The experience of dealing with challenge can produce a lifetime of beneficial dividends.

When you know you have done it in the past, you also know you can do it again. That is the essence of true confidence.

The difficult experiences give you the opportunity to practice persistence. And persistence is a quality that is always in demand.

Though your efforts may not pay off immediately, they will pay off. Persist, and know that you are growing stronger and stronger.

You can endure pain and disappointment and still choose to feel good. For there is a beautiful part of you that can always rise above the most painful and burdensome difficulties.

Choose to feel good, and you put yourself in a position of power and effectiveness. Feel good, and feel the genuine strength of your true purpose.

Feel good, and open yourself to the best possibilities. Feel good, and generate new positive energy for moving forward.

Delight in the beauty

It is the experience of beauty that makes it beauty. Make life more beautiful by appreciating how beautiful and precious it is.

Feel the wondrous aliveness of which you're a vital part. Allow the beauty that surrounds you to reach into the deepest part of you.

Give your awareness and your energy to what's truly important. Let life see and experience itself in the best possible light from your unique perspective.

The little problems

The big, urgent problems get your attention, as well they should. Because they are so serious, you'll naturally take them seriously and quickly do something about them.

The smaller, nagging, everyday problems don't have that same sense of urgency. They don't usually grab your attention and demand to be solved.

Yet those little problems can wear you down over time. They seem almost too trivial to do anything about, so you can be tempted to just let them continue draining your energy and resources, day after day.

For example, a slow drip from the faucet in your bathroom sink doesn't seem like much, and yet it can end up wasting hundreds or thousands of gallons of water. Eventually, even the little problems can have a big impact.

Fortunately, the little problems don't take much effort to solve. It's mostly just a matter of taking them seriously and taking the time to do it.

If there's some little problem that's been nagging you and slowly draining you, now is a great time to do something about it. Free yourself, one by one, from the little problems, and it can make a big positive difference in your life.

Live with enjoyment

Enjoyment is not something you take. It is something you give.

Enjoyment is not a function of your circumstances. Enjoyment is a choice you can make, regardless of the circumstances.

When you choose to enjoy where you are, it opens your eyes to the positive possibilities. When you decide to enjoy what you're doing, your effectiveness skyrockets.

Enjoy your day, and you add joy not only to your own life but also to all of life around you. Enjoy who you are, and from who you are will flow great and meaningful value.

Give the gift of your own genuine enjoyment. Demonstrate your gratitude and immense respect for life by truly enjoying each precious moment.

Instead of reacting to life with frustration or disappointment or anger, make the choice to enjoy what life brings your way. Live with enjoyment, and give the best of who you are.

Perception and possibilities

There may be times when it seems the whole world is working against you. Yet in reality the main thing working against you is your own negative perception.

When one thing goes wrong, then another and another, it seems to you that you're having a bad day. Keep in mind, however, that it's just your perception.

Instead of judging the day to be a bad one, take action to make a positive difference. Instead of using your energy to build and maintain a negative perception, put that energy into creating positive results.

You are stronger and much more capable than any random negative pattern that may have befallen you. With determination and effective action, break free.

Although life is filled with great challenge, the world is not against you. Even when one disappointment is followed by another and another, you are not having a bad day.

You are living through a day that is filled with countless possibilities. And you can act right now to bring the very best of those possibilities to life.

Life is always now

Every great thing that has ever been achieved has been achieved one moment at a time. There is no other way.

The small, seemingly insignificant moments of each day are the building blocks of greatness and fulfillment. The more respect and sincere presence you give to each moment, the more rich and fulfilling your life will be.

The opportunities in life do not come someday, in some vague and distant future. They are here and they are now.

This hour, on this day, may feel like just a small slice of your life. It is, however, the most important part of your life because it is the part you are now living.

The joy you postpone until later is joy you'll not ever have the pleasure of experiencing. Work you put off until another time is work that will never get done.

Life is always now, so always live it now. The full extent of life's richness is now, so make that richness yours.

Relentlessly positive

Just because there are reasons to be discouraged doesn't mean you must be discouraged. Choose to live with joy, and with your life you will create plenty of reasons to be joyful.

Whatever your situation may be, you never have to see it as a burden. Decide to see it as an opportunity, and it will be.

If you live with the assumption that you're stuck where you are, the experience of your life will indeed prove that assumption correct. Yet it is an assumption you never have to make.

Expect, without the slightest doubt, to move confidently forward, and you will. Live with the assumption that there's a way to get beyond every obstacle, and you will most certainly find your way.

The quality of your life depends on the way you choose, in each and every moment, to see and relate to life. The person you choose to be, the attitude you choose to maintain and the expectations you choose to live with ultimately come from you, not from outside factors.

Choose joy, and meaning and purpose, love, fulfillment, sincerity and truth. Be relentlessly positive, and no matter what else happens, you'll live a positive life.

Face the difficulties

The difficult choices become even more difficult when you persist in avoiding them. Instead of running away from those difficult choices, face them and make your decision.

As difficult as it may be, the sooner you decide, the sooner you can begin to create positive value. Go ahead, and get started transforming a difficult situation into an opportunity to move forward.

Hesitation and indecisiveness will only enable things to get worse. Make the decision, get started taking action, and get moving in the direction of making things better.

You can make a difference, so get busy making that difference. There's no sense in wasting your energy on avoiding the inevitable.

Put your fate in your own hands by choosing to quickly deal with life's difficulties. Feel how good and right it feels to be decisive and persistently effective.

Say what must be said, decide what must be decided, and do what must be done. The sooner and more willingly you face the difficulties, the sooner you'll get beyond them.
