Give all you can

The meaning of just about anything in life comes from the time, effort and energy you give it. Anything you get for free, with no work or commitment or attention, is worth about what you pay for it, which is nothing.

To wish for a life that is always easy and free of effort is to wish for a life with very little fulfillment. Before you complain about life being difficult, remember that much of life's richness comes from working to transcend the difficulties.

A good life is a life filled with meaningful effort. Every challenge brings multiple opportunities to respond with good, useful, rewarding effort.

When all you expect is to get something for nothing, the most you can get is nothing. Yet when you make the most of each opportunity to give of yourself, there is no limit to the value and goodness you can enjoy.

Do you ever feel sorry for yourself because you have so much work to do? The next time you sense that feeling coming on, make the choice to turn it around.

Joyfully and enthusiastically embrace the effort, and the opportunity to make a difference. Life is good when you give yourself to it, so make it your business to give all you can.

Your great value

Your value is not in what you try to be or in what you pretend to be. Your great value is in who you are.

It serves no purpose to blindly grab and obsess over the world's superficial trinkets. Choose instead to allow life's limitless abundance to flow through you in beautiful, original, unique ways.

Don't waste your energy worrying about what you do or do not have, or about what you might or might not experience. Give joy to each moment, where you are, as it is, and find great fulfillment.

Spend this day living and being, loving, learning, caring and giving. You are alive, aware, and blessed with a world of possibilities, so act like it.

Let joy be your default setting. You can always create great value in the world by allowing the value within you to be fully expressed.

Let yourself feel how good it feels to truly be you, to be here, now. And let your great value and joy come flowing forth.

Because you are

Whether you're ninety years old, or seventeen years old, or forty-five years of age, you have the exact same time available to you. You have this moment.

You have the opportunity to live with all the richness you can imagine. You have the chance to start something new, to experience joy, and to give love.

No one has more, and no one has less. This moment is now here for all to live, especially including you.

Any pain or sadness you may feel is only near the surface. Go deeper, and experience the magnificent beauty that lives at the heart of you.

From the timeless perspective of that beauty and goodness, worry is just plain silly. As urgent and compelling as the issues of the moment may seem to be, the value that your life encompasses is so very much more.

You cannot lose, because you are. Right now, fully live all the beauty and wonder of the miracle that is you.

Whole and indivisible

When you are getting the best of what you desire, it means you have been giving the best of who you are. When you are experiencing genuine fulfillment, it means you have been living with unceasing authenticity.

There's no way to get around the fact that life is whole and indivisible. What you get and what you experience are inseparable from the way you choose to think, to feel and to be.

What you do in one area of your life exerts a sure and unavoidable effect on other areas of your life. What you think and say and feel and do cannot be removed from all that you are.

It is pointless to seek unfair advantage, because you end up being the victim of your own deviousness. In the same way, it is always beneficial to be loving and compassionate, because the goodness you create flows into your life just as much as any other life.

If you conduct your life through conflict, you make yourself a victim of conflict. When you conduct your life with love and authenticity, you lift up the whole of life into which you are inextricably woven.

There is no here and there or this and that, for it all exists together. Be good to it all, and feel the goodness you give as it reverberates everywhere.

Encouraging break

When life has repeatedly dragged you down, that's a great time to remind yourself of how beautiful and joyful life can be. When it feels like you can't catch a break, that's a great time to give yourself a positive, encouraging break.

Sure, you've had a rough spell, and guess what? You've made it through.

Now is your opportunity to keep going. It won't be easy, and yet it may very well turn out to be the best thing that's ever happened to you.

Every difficult day makes you stronger. Every challenge you work through makes you that much more capable of working through even bigger and more rewarding challenges.

There is joy to be found in all of life, even in the painful times. There is goodness to be created in every situation, especially the difficult and trying ones.

Life can be tough, and yet you can always be stronger. Make the choice to take it in stride, and make the decision to be even better than you were before.

Love the effort

To do your best at the effort, love the effort. Rather than avoiding and delaying and cursing what you must do, dive into it with gratitude and enthusiasm.

If it must be done, you might as well do it in your most effective and creative state. Instead of assuming that any particular task is undesirable, approach it as the very best thing you could be doing at the moment.

Those who assume that effort is a curse are repeatedly beaten down by the efforts they must make. Those who see effort, any effort, as a blessing end up being truly blessed by those efforts.

It's your choice, so make the smart, empowering one. Decide to embrace, enjoy and love the effort, and you'll reap great benefits from it.

The ability to make a difference by taking action is an essential element of life. Choose to rejoice at every opportunity to do so.

Lose the complaints, the self-pity, the feelings of frustration, and love the effort. Love the effort you give to life, and discover how much the whole of life loves you back.

Empowered by your thoughts

It's easy to get drawn into self-defeating thought patterns. Fortunately, it's also easy to change your thoughts so they empower you.

Instead of thinking by habit, make the decision to think by choice. Instead of nurturing the same old thoughts, align your thoughts with your purpose, your goals, your values and your dreams.

For example, you don't have to assume that the most negative outcome will occur. You can just as easily and just as realistically assume that you'll create the most positive possible outcome.

There are already enough obstacles in your life. There's nothing to be gained by having to fight and struggle against your own thoughts.

Choose to think the best about yourself, your world, and the people and events in it. When you focus on the best, you enable, empower, motivate and encourage yourself to create the best.

Your most consistent thoughts have a real and significant impact on the way you act. Choose your best thoughts, let them guide your best actions, and live a life that's rich and fulfilled.

Positive, purposeful path

There's plenty of negativity that comes into your life. And you can let it go just as quickly as it comes.

To empower yourself, you don't have to grab hold of anything new. Let go of all the negative stuff, and you'll find that the power has been there all along.

You can't avoid all the negative people, situations, words and events. You can, however, choose precisely what to do with each of them within yourself.

The most effective thing to do is to focus your awareness, your energy and your efforts elsewhere. Allow your beautiful, unique purpose to push you forward.

The negativity exists, and you cannot help but notice it. But you don't have to let it be yours.

As soon as you encounter negativity, remind yourself to let it go. Rise above it, and move right ahead on your positive, purposeful path.

The time to act

The sooner you deal with a difficult situation, the less time you'll spend living with it. The sooner you take advantage of the positive possibilities, the more time you'll spend enjoying the rewards.

The time to act is now, when you have the thought, intention and reason to act. Now is when you're clear about why, and now is when your passion is engaged, so put it to meaningful use.

By all means put care and consideration into what you do. Yet don't let care and consideration be the only thing you do.

The sooner you take action, the more leverage you have. The sooner you take action, the more thorough and effective you can be.

The situation will not change by pretending it's something different or by wishing it away. The situation will change when you act to make a difference, and the time to do that is now.

Give yourself a break from worry, anxiety, and difficulties that pile on top of difficulties. Take control, act positively and quickly, and make your world better by what you choose to do.

Make joy now

Take what you have, take what you see, take what you do, take what you are, and make joy with it. Instead of waiting or hoping or wishing or planning for joy, make joy now.

Energize your actions by giving them joy. Elevate your relationships by putting your own authentic joy into them.

Instead of striving for joy to be the result, make joy the cause. Do whatever you do with joyfulness, and whatever you do will bring great value.

Remind yourself what an awesome privilege it is to be you, here, now. Feel the clear, pure joy of your existence and let that joy continually flow from you.

Live this moment now from a higher, more powerful perspective. Live this moment now in joy.

Choose to let joy be your natural, instinctive state. Make joy now, and always, and make all of life more gloriously alive.

Listen to life

Listen to life, and to those who are living life, without judgment, without fear and without any preconceived agenda. Just listen and experience.

Truly listen to what others tell you without being distracted by thoughts of how you will reply. Listen, for there is so much you can hear.

Seek not to argue, explain, impress or convince. Listen so that you can more fully understand.

Listen to learn and to know. Listen to make a deep and valuable connection.

Listen, not just with your mind but with your heart as well. Listen not just to the words and sounds but also to the meanings they convey.

Each new day, all of life joins together in a new and beautiful song. Listen, and live the richness.

Need no more

Even the smallest need puts you in a state of lack and limitation. So make it your firm intention to focus on the possibilities rather than on the perception of need.

Consider that in this moment, right now, you need nothing, because you already are here, alive, aware, and capable of so very much. Free yourself from the thought of need, and step forward into your most valuable possibilities.

Compared to how very much you have, there is almost nothing you really need. Give your time, awareness and energy to the abundance, and make the good, valuable parts of your life even more prominent.

Make each day, each action, each thought and word your own positive and empowering choice. Focus on all you have to live and to give.

If you ever feel that there's something you need, quickly let that thought go. Then make the positive choice to create, and move forward with the power of authentic purpose.

Fill your mind with positive possibilities, and fill your moments with positive action. Fill your heart with sincere gratitude, and there will be no place in you for need.

Let go of fear

Fear can be comforting because it is so familiar. And yet, it is a false comfort that serves only to bring you down.

Fear gives you permission to withdraw from life, to hide from life, and to avoid any kind of effort or action. But deep down, you know that's not what you truly want.

Instead of seeking the comfort of the same old fears, choose to allow yourself the joy of living. Instead of hiding away from life, remind yourself of the beautiful, unique, miraculous nature of your existence.

Regardless of what you've convinced yourself to believe, you do not have to live in fear. The choice to live from a perspective of love is instantly available to you at any time, in any situation.

The power of your fear is nothing more than the power you have given it. You can choose, right now, and always, to let it go.

Let the fear go, and live your life with the power of love. In love is the power to change your whole world.

Now is your treasure

The only way to enjoy life is to enjoy the moment. The time to experience fulfillment is now.

If it is not now, it is a memory or a speculation. Now is what there is, and it far exceeds being more than enough.

To be truly happy in your life is a matter of simply being happy in the moment. If you limit your happiness to what has been or what might someday be, you cannot be happy.

The way to do what you love is to put real, authentic love into whatever you do. Now is when fulfillment happens and it is always yours to choose.

Instead of obsessing over what could have been or what might could be, celebrate the immense beauty of what is. Open yourself to that beauty and let it fill your awareness.

Now is your treasure and your treasure is now. Live it, now.

Everything to be

You have nothing to prove and everything to be. What matters is the truth of who you are, not the way you appear to others.

In that pure, uncorrupted truth is an endless reservoir of real value. In that truth is beauty, goodness, love and fulfillment beyond everything you have ever thought to seek.

Give the honest truth of yourself, and you have no reason to strive or worry about making a good impression. Give the authentic truth of yourself, for it is the most loving, compassionate, uplifting and enabling thing you can do.

You do not have to strive against your own thoughts of limitation. Allow your unique beauty to continually unfold, and experience the power of how good and right it feels.

You do not have to be held captive by the thoughts or actions of others, or even by your perceptions of those thoughts and actions. You can allow yourself to be, positive and whole and fulfilled, now and always.

You have everything to be. Feel the miracle of your existence, and fill the world with joy.

Within it all

Give yourself fully to the experience of this moment. All you are, is here, and now, and it is rich beyond all measure.

Fall gently into the loving, supportive arms of life right now. Feel the warm, healing goodness that comes from being free of judgment, worry, anger and stress.

Know throughout the whole of your being that all is well. Give the entirety of your awareness to the intensely magnificent goodness that is your existence.

Love is your nature, joy is your nature, and fulfillment is your destiny. Walk the path, step by step, simply because it is so stunningly beautiful at every turn.

Within you is a great, deep, rich reservoir of value. Amazingly, the more freely you allow that value to flow into all of life, the more of it there is.

Be, now, here, with grace, completeness, and joy. All is well, and within you, and you within it all.

Exceptional action

To achieve exceptional results, take exceptional action. Get in the habit of quickly taking action, and you'll get used to seeing your goals and dreams quickly taking shape.

The way you make use of your time determines the way your life unfolds. When you hold your time in the highest regard, you'll reach your highest level of performance and fulfillment.

You have plenty of time to create plenty of success and achievement. Simply make full and effective use of each moment just as soon as it comes to you.

Taking exceptional action does not require any special skill. It's simply a matter of choosing to make enthusiastic and persistent use of the skills you have.

You can choose to waste a good portion of each day on things that don't really matter. Or, you can choose to fill your day with committed, effective action that's focused on achieving your goals.

The choice is always yours to make. Go ahead, choose to take exceptional action, and enjoy a truly exceptional life.

Whatever the situation

Difficult people can be valuable teachers. Difficult situations can build strong and highly useful skills.

Challenges provide outstanding opportunities to be your best, and to get even better. Disappointments can help you more fully appreciate the good things you have.

Look for the positive possibilities in whatever happens. Those positive possibilities are most certainly there.

Instead of resenting where you are, or who you must deal with, or what you must do, find something positive. Find a way to grow, to learn, to appreciate, to become stronger and more highly skilled.

Instead of wishing for an easy situation, see and make the most of the value in whatever the situation may be. Always remember that life's fulfillment is not handed to you, but is created by you out of the reality that comes your way.

Embrace that reality, in all its many flavors. Find goodness and value in whatever may come, and you'll never have to worry about what may or may not happen next.

Feel the peace

The pain and confusion come more from the struggle than from the difficulty itself. Let go of the need to struggle, and deploy your energy in a positive manner to effectively and successfully deal with the situation.

Go deep within, past the anxiety, past the thoughts, past the resistance, and feel the pure peace that lives at your center. If you cannot feel the peace, go deeper, and deeper, until you do.

Feel the peace, and your worries dissolve into nothing. Feel the peace, and feel the energy and confidence to make good things happen.

Feel the peace, and allow your unique purpose to be expressed with no hesitation and no doubt. Feel the peace, and feel how right it feels to let beauty, love, goodness and value flow out from you.

There is nothing to be gained by fighting against what is already a reality. Accept what is, and enable yourself to create new, positive value from it.

Feel the peace, and feel the limitless possibilities that are connected to your life. Feel the peace of allowing your life to be, and feel the power to bring the best of those possibilities into being.

Make it your business

You're not stuck where you are unless you choose to be. On any day, at any moment, in any situation, you can change.

If you're moving too fast, you can slow down. If you're going too slow, you can speed things up.

No matter how many times you've made the same mistake, you can choose not to make it again. No matter how often you've sabotaged your own efforts, you can make the choice to go ahead and succeed in those efforts.

The outside factors may be quite significant and burdensome, yet they are not what keep you stuck. The thing that truly keeps you stuck is your refusal to make the necessary effort to move forward.

Yes, it can be difficult to make progress, and yet in that difficulty is much of the value of the progress you seek. Stop making excuses and start living that value.

Choose to take responsibility, to take the initiative, and to take action. Make it your business to make real progress, and you will.

Perfect choice

A perfect decision is a decision that never gets made. Instead of seeking to make the perfect choice, make a choice based on your best information and instincts, and get on with it.

Every choice involves some compromise. Every choice will have its positive aspects and its negative aspects.

The best way forward is not to hold out for the absolute perfect choice, free of any downsides. The best way forward is to go ahead, make a choice, and deal with whatever problems come along.

The choice itself doesn't do the work for you. It is merely the starting point from which you begin to put in the effort and commitment.

So whatever the choice may be, you have the ability to successfully work with it. Whatever problems may come along, you have the ability to transform into opportunities.

Go ahead, make a good choice, and then get busy making it work. Though it may not be the perfect choice, it gives you the opportunity to make of it whatever you choose.

Live for

It's easy to figure out what you don't like. Yet it is essential to also define and focus on what you do like and value.

You won't get very far by simply avoiding and opposing whatever you find undesirable. Progress and fulfillment come not by living against, but by living for.

If there's something that deeply troubles you, something you strongly dislike, you're part of the way to discovering what you do like. Make the effort to replace that intense dislike with an even more intense positive desire.

When you fight against anything, you run the risk of making it much stronger. Instead of fighting against something, spend your time and energy living for a more positive alternative.

Don't settle for a life lived in opposition. The way to make life less negative is to proactively make it more positive.

Live for what you truly love, value and appreciate. Fill your life with what you do like, and there will be no room left for what you don't like.

Actually do it

It's great to know precisely what you want, and why you want it, and how to make it happen, but that's not enough. You have to actually do it.

It's helpful to learn all the skills, techniques, clever tricks and strategies, yet just knowing all those things won't make anything happen. You have to make it happen.

You can read books, watch videos, go to seminars, hire a coach and do all sorts of other things to prepare yourself. Yet you also must put all that knowledge and preparation into action, day after day after day.

Achievement happens only when you actually do it. And the only time you can actually do it is now.

Complaining about how bad you've had it, or how unfair life is, doesn't count. Waiting until conditions are perfect doesn't count.

Focused, purposeful, positive, effective action is what counts. And right now is the time to actually do it.

Let the negative thoughts go

Don't fight the negative thoughts. Just accept them, and then quickly let them go.

If you push and struggle against your own negativity, you prolong it and make yourself even more negative. Instead, choose to quickly let it go and to direct your powerful energy toward positive purposes.

You don't have to feel guilty or regretful about being negative. Simply move on to something more meaningful and life affirming.

Accept what has been, and suddenly you are no longer burdened by it. Be truly thankful that you have a choice, and make that choice to look forward rather than backward.

Stop letting your own negativity get to you, and soon it will stop coming to you. When your negative thoughts cease to provoke a reaction, they lose their negativity.

Let go of each negative thought the moment it arises. And suddenly, the moment is very positive and productive.

Live the greatness

Today is new, and you can be too. This day carries forward positive value from the past, and adds to it new possibilities for the present, and so can you.

What came before is over, so stop wishing that the bad things had not happened or that the good things were still here. Now is your opportunity to create new goodness, right now, in new and better ways.

Take all those good memories and values, and carry them forward in your heart. Resolve to honor the best of what has been by making the very best of what you have today.

You've had some sadness and disappointment, and there will be more. Yet all sorts of new and meaningful joys await your choice to let them come to life.

This is the day you have, this is the place you are, and in it is everything you need to make a positive difference. This is your opportunity to live with more richness than ever, and the more you give, the more of that richness and joy you will know.

Treasure the best that you've been, and use this day to make it better. Put a real, authentic, confident smile on your face, a song of thankfulness in your heart, and live the greatness that is now.
